This right here is a ZOX based on one of my favorite verses of all time - one I find myself reciting more than just about any other: Joshua 1:9.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Why?
Well, life is scary sometimes. What's strange is that it's not just a physical risk of danger, but more the fact that our brains are wired to look for problems, so we tend to constantly have something new to worry about.
Many times, the challenges and uncertainties we face can make us feel small and afraid. At those moments, it's easy to let fear take over, especially when the path ahead seems unclear. But in those moments of doubt, we need to remember that we are never alone.
I chose these abstract, moody colors for this ZOX reflect those times of uncertainty and fear, with the bright white text standing in the starkest of contrast against it as God's presence in our lives. What I love most about this verse is the very beginning - God's not shy about how strongly he is urging you to let go of your fears, in fact he commands it.
This verse is such a powerful reminder that we have a constant companion in God, one who is always by our side, guiding us through even the darkest times. What is most beautiful to me about that is the fact that we don't have to face our fears alone - His strength and courage are within us.
This bracelet is my way of reminding myself, and you, that we can be strong and courageous in the face of fear. We can step forward with confidence, knowing that God is with us every step of the way.
